Also, please rest assured that I always adhere to the highest standards of hygiene, both personally and in terms of the makeup and professional tools I use. If you would like any further information on my exact hygiene procedures please let me know and I will be happy to provide them.
The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the quote and/or wedding contract.
The Makeup Artist: Alyse Baker
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee
The fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed above
The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e. the wedding) takes place
The party: Additional members of the bridal party
2. Securing the booking of the event
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit of £50 to the makeup artist.
This deposit holds the event date and is deducted from your final balance due on your event date.
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit £15 per person.
Payments can be made in cash on your event date or via bank transfer no less than 48 hours prior, cheques will not be accepted.
The non-refundable deposit of £50 paid by the client is taken off the fee.
Agreed fees in relation to trials must be paid on the day of trial in Cash on the day of or via BACS no less than 24 hours before.
4. Responsibility of the client
The client shall inform the makeup artist of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The makeup artist cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform the artist of any known condition.
The makeup artist reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behavior.
5. Cancellations / Amendments
The client can cancel the event any time up to 45 days before the event by informing the makeup artist in writing.
Any cancellations made after this time will be subject to a 50% charge.
The makeup artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until point of cancellation as all deposits are non refundable.
The client can cancel a trial at any point, however a trial cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.
Changes to event dates are subject to availability and a £50 charge, payable at the time of amendment.
Cancellations by the makeup artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given -will result in a refund to the client, minus fees for any services already performed (i.e trial fee). No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the makeup artist every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the makeup artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.
6. Reducing Professional Services
Once services have been mutually agreed upon, a client is not permitted to reduce services, only increase.
The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the makeup artist’s website and social media pages. Any objections should be made in writing to .
8. Travel Expenses
The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at time of booking.
This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.
Travel within a 4 mile radius of SE22 9PQ will not be subject to any charges.
Alyse Baker is insured by Salon Gold with a public liability indemnity of up to £3,000,000.
