BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Definitions
The Client: The recipient of the service and name listed on the quote and/or wedding contract.
The Artist: Alyse Baker trading as Alyse Baker Artistry, and/or any freelance makeup artist or assistant appointed by Alyse Baker Artistry to carry out part or all of the services.
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the client and the makeup artist for the agreed fee
The fee: The amount payable by the client to the makeup artist for the services listed above
The event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e. the wedding) takes place
The party: Additional members of the bridal party or event booking.
2. Acceptance of Terms & Third-Party Bookings
By making a booking and paying a deposit, you confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Your deposit payment constitutes agreement to all policies outlined herein.
When an appointment is booked on behalf of additional clients (such as bridesmaids or other party members), the person making the booking confirms that all individuals have been informed of these terms and conditions. By sitting for their appointment and permitting the Artist to perform the service, each individual client acknowledges and agrees to all terms and policies in this agreement, regardless of whether they personally signed the contract or paid the deposit.
3. Securing the booking of the event
Wedding Bookings:
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit to The Artist. The deposit is dependent on booking size and will be specified on the initial quote.
This deposit deducted from the final balance due on your event date.
Non-Wedding/Event Bookings:
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a non-refundable deposit £30 per service, per person.
4. Payment
Agreed fees in relation to trials must be paid on the day of trial in Cash on the day of or via BACS no less than 24 hours before.
Final payment due by bank transfer 4 weeks before your wedding date, cheques will not be accepted.
The non-refundable deposit paid by the client is taken off the final balance due.
5. Additional Services:
If, during the provision of the agreed-upon services, there is a need for additional services beyond the pre-agreed quote and/or timeline, the client will be informed. Any additional services delivered beyond the agreed quote will be subject to additional charges.
If The Artist is required to stay on past the pre-agreed timeline, the standard hourly rate of £95 per artist will be apply.
The client will be provided with an estimate of the additional charges before the commencement of the additional services, whenever feasible.
6. Client Responsibilities
The Client agrees to inform the Artist of any relevant information that may affect the use of products, tools, or equipment prior to the service taking place. This includes, but is not limited to, sensitivities, allergies, skin conditions, or medical conditions. The Artist cannot be held responsible for any issues, losses, or damage arising from the Client’s failure to disclose such information.
While every reasonable care is taken in the selection and application of products, the Artist cannot be held liable for any adverse reactions, including but not limited to allergic reactions or skin irritations, that may occur during or following the service.
The Artist reserves the right to refuse service to the Client or any member of the party in the event of inappropriate, abusive, or threatening behaviour.
7. Health & Safety Policy
For the safety of all clients, the Artist is unable to perform makeup services on anyone with a contagious infection, including but not limited to conjunctivitis (pink eye), cold sores, open wounds, or any other condition that may pose a health risk. The client must inform the artist as soon as possible if they have any such condition; the standard client cancellation policy will apply. The artist reserves the right to refuse services if the client arrives with a visible infection or if the artist believes there is a risk of contamination to their kit. In such cases, no refunds will be given, and the standard client cancellation policy will apply.
8. Cancellations / Amendments
Wedding bookings:
Cancel any time up to 90 days before the event by informing the makeup artist in writing.
Any cancellations made after this time will be subject to the following payment terms.
0-45 days notice: Payment in full
45-60 days notice: 75% of balance due
60-90 days notice: 50% of balance due
Event/Special Occasion Bookings:
Cancel any time up to 7 days before the event by informing The Artist in writing.
Any cancellations made after this time will be subject to payment in full.

The Artist will be under no obligation to refund any money paid up until point of cancellation as all deposits are non-refundable.
The client can cancel a trial at any point; however a trial cancelled with less than 24hrs notice will be charged for at the agreed rate.
Changes to event dates are subject to availability and a £50 charge, payable at the time of amendment.
Cancellations by The Artist due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering the performance of their obligations and where no other suitable alternative can be given -will result in a refund to the client, minus fees for any services already performed (i.e. trial fee). No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of The Artist, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on The Artist’s part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.
9. Reducing Professional Services
Once services have been mutually agreed upon, a client is not permitted to reduce services, only increase.
10. Subcontractors & Assistants
Alyse Baker Artistry may engage trusted freelance artists or assistants to carry out part or all of the services for a booking. These artists operate as independent subcontractors and are not employees of Alyse Baker Artistry.
All freelance artists and assistants are required to work to the same professional, hygiene, and service standards set out in these Terms & Conditions and hold their own valid insurance. Any matters relating to the services provided by a freelance artist will be handled in accordance with their individual insurance policies.
Alyse Baker Artistry will remain the main point of contact for the booking and will take reasonable steps to support the Client and assist in resolving any concerns should they arise.

11.Photography
The client agrees that The Artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to The Artist’s website and social media pages. Any objections should be made in writing to info@alysebakerartistry.co.uk.
12. Property & Location Care
Every reasonable care will be taken by the Artist while working at the Client’s home, venue, hotel, or get-ready location. However, the Artist cannot be held responsible for any accidental damage to property, including but not limited to furniture, flooring, fixtures, surfaces, clothing, or personal belongings, unless such damage is caused by the Artist’s negligence.
The Client is responsible for ensuring that a safe and suitable working area is provided for the Artist to carry out the agreed services.
13. Travel Expenses
The quote includes travel time and/or mileage. Any necessary parking or congestion charges for the Artist or any assistants are the responsibility of the client. Where possible, these fees will be included in the quote; if not, they will be invoiced separately and are payable by the client.
14. Insurance
Alyse Baker Artistry holds public liability insurance of up to £2,000,000. All freelance artists working on behalf of Alyse Baker Artistry are required to hold their own valid insurance.
